Project - Subway Series
Knicks
Edition
Established in 1946, The New York Knicks are undoubtedly one of the most popular sports franchises on the planet. Whether you are a Knick fan or not, if you grew up in New York, you have experienced all the highs and lows and the good and bad of this storied franchise. If you're a fan of sports, regardless of how you feel about this organization, it is important to recognize the greats that made this organization what it is today.
The New York Knicks Subway Series takes us through the Championship era of the 70’s, the grit and grind of the 80’s, the championship contenders of the 90’s, to the rebuilding era of the 2000’s. Each era represented a different time for the organization as well as the city.
The few things that were consistent over the course of these 50 years were the New York Knicks logo and the subway lines we used to attend the games. On these red, blue, yellow, green, grey, orange, and purple lines we watched subway cars filled to the brim with Orange and Blue. On these red, blue, yellow, green, grey, orange, and purple lines is where we talked shit about the other team. On these red, blue, yellow, green, grey, orange, and purple lines is where we found our voice. As these athletic titans propelled the franchise into the next era, so did our love for our team and our city.
